Send a project's link to a colleague¶
Who can do this
Anyone who may share the project, which is owners, administrators, the branch's manager and the project's lead. Every plan.
Send a colleague straight to a project they already hold a role on.
- Open Projects and choose the project. The project opens.
- Select ⋯ in the page's header. A menu opens.
- Choose Send the link to a colleague. The choices Copy link, Share by email and Share on WhatsApp appear.
- Choose Copy link. The link is copied, ready to paste.
Send it by email¶
- Choose Share by email in step 3. At a desk, a short menu opens with Your email app, Gmail, Outlook and Copy message; on a phone, the phone's own share sheet opens.
- Choose where to send it. Your email opens with the message ready.
- Choose Share on WhatsApp in step 3. WhatsApp opens with the message ready.
What happens next¶
The link grants nothing on its own: your colleague signs in to your organisation to open it, and needs a role on the project.
If something goes wrong¶
- No email opened? A computer with no mail program set up opens nothing. Choose Gmail, Outlook or Copy message from the line that appears; the message is copied as well, so you can paste it into any email.
- Your colleague sees You have not been given access to this project: they hold no role on it yet. See Give a colleague access to a project.
- They see There is no such project: the link is mistyped, the project was deleted, or it belongs to an organisation they are not a member of.
