Give another organisation your code

Who can do this

Owners, administrators, the billing role and auditors, from Deliveries, Shared releases; owners and administrators also from Settings. Every plan.

Open in GISweaver

Copy your organisation code and give it to the organisation that will send you something.

  1. Open Deliveries and choose the Shared releases tab. The tab opens with Copy organisation code under the heading.
  2. Select Copy organisation code at the top of the page. GISweaver says Your organisation code is on the clipboard.

  3. Paste the code into an email or a message to the organisation that will send you the release. The message holds the code.

What happens next

When the other organisation uses the code, they see your organisation's name before they send anything, so they can check it is you. The code tells them where to send a share, client access or a delivery; it is not a password, and giving it out lets nobody into your account.

A firm that enters your code to connect you as its client only asks: nothing is linked until your organisation accepts the request on its Connections settings.

The same code is on Settings, on its Connections tab under Organisation, under Your organisation code, for owners and administrators who are setting up a client there. While nothing has been shared with you yet, the Shared releases tab also shows the code below its one message, and Show my organisation code on the Received tab takes you there.

If something goes wrong

  • The browser would not copy it. Your organisation code is followed by the code: copy the code from that sentence by hand, carefully.
  • Copy organisation code is not shown: your role cannot open Deliveries. Ask an owner or administrator for the code.
