Edit or reverse an alignment¶
Who can do this
Owners, administrators, and colleagues who can add work to the project (branch managers and members, project leads and contributors). People who can only read a project cannot change alignments. See Compare all features under Billing for the plans that include corridor review.
Change an alignment's name, stations or vertices, or turn its direction of travel round, and keep each change as a new version.
-
With a project open on the map in 2D, on a larger screen, select Analyse in the rail, then choose the alignment in the list under Corridor review. The map draws it with a tick at every station.

-
To change it, select Edit, change the name, stations or vertices as Add or import an alignment describes, and select Save. The panel says Saved as version and the next number.
- To turn it round, select Reverse. The alignment is saved as a new version with its direction of travel turned round.
What happens next¶
Reversing keeps the start chainage, and offsets to the right become offsets to the left. The earlier version is kept.
If something goes wrong¶
- Somebody else changed this alignment while you were editing. Select Reload, then make your change again.
