Cancel an upload¶
Who can do this
Anyone who may add files to the file's project. Check with the person who started a colleague's transfer before you cancel it. Every plan.
Cancel a transfer when you chose the wrong file or it is no longer wanted.
-
Open Uploads, or the project's Files list, and find the file. It reads Uploading or Waiting.
The row has a ⋯ menu.
-
Open its ⋯ menu and select Cancel this upload. A question opens.
The question reads Cancel the upload of …?
-
Check the question, Cancel the upload of …?, with Started by and Uploaded so far under it.
You can see whose transfer it is and how much has been sent.
-
Select Stop upload. Select Keep uploading if you changed your mind.
The question closes, and the row either goes on or is cancelled, as you chose.
A file that is uploading now also has Cancel on its pinned row and on the upload chip.
What happens next¶
When GISweaver confirms it, a notice says … upload cancelled, the row reads Deleted with Cancelled before it arrived, and the slot is free. The parts already sent are thrown away, and nothing already published leaves the map.
If something goes wrong¶
The row reads Not confirmed with Cancellation not confirmed and one of these:
- the server is completing this file. Every part had arrived, so it is being checked and processed like any other file. Select Check again to see where it is; delete it once it is ready if you did not want it: see Delete a file.
- the server did not accept it. The upload may still be open. Select Try cancelling again, or Check again.
- no answer reached this browser. It is not known whether the upload stopped. Select Check again before you send the file again.
Details¶
A file that has fully arrived cannot be cancelled. Delete it instead.
