Add your first survey files

Who can do this

Owners and administrators, branch managers and members in their branch, and a project's leads and contributors. Viewers, billing managers and auditors cannot add files. Every plan. Your plan sets the largest file you can add and how many uploads a month you have.

Open in GISweaver

Add your survey files to a project through the strip at the top of its Files list.

  1. Open Projects and choose your project.
  2. Drop your survey files on Drop files here, or browse at the top of Files, or select it to choose them.
  3. Keep the tab open until each file shows On the map or Internal only.

What happens next

A survey file joins the project's draft, and once processed its row reads On the map. A PDF, photo, video or archive reads Internal only. Upload your first file on the checklist now reads Done.

GISweaver checks each file and decides where it goes by what it contains, so you never sort them yourself. Adding files publishes nothing. When the survey is right, publish a release.

If something goes wrong

  • A banner above the list names a file your plan refused for its size, such as It is 3 MB, and your plan accepts files up to 2 MB each. A file over 12 GiB is refused before it is sent. See What your plan allows per file.
  • Confirm your email address before doing that. See Verify your email address.
  • A row that reads Refused or Failed says why under the file's name. See Fix a file that stopped.

Every format, limit and status is on Add files to a project and Supported files and limits.
