Terms and policies¶
Read the documents your organisation has agreed to and find who to contact. Anyone in your organisation can open this page; it has no separate permission.
Read a document¶
- Open your profile menu and choose All policies and contacts under Legal. It opens the Terms and policies page. You can also find that page in Help or in Settings.
- Choose Read beside a document. It opens inside the Console, with the navigation still on the left.
- Choose All documents to return to the list.
You can also choose Terms or Privacy directly from the profile menu.
The document opens with its title, amendment count and revision-history link above its version and other details. Choose Revision history to see the changes.
Send a document to someone with no account¶
- Choose the arrow icon beside Read. It opens the document's public web page in a new tab.
- Send its address; it works for anyone, signed in or not.
Find who to contact¶
Contacts and version sits above the list of documents.
| Contact | What it is |
|---|---|
| Support | The ordinary help desk. See Help and support for how to raise a request. |
| Grievance Officer | The contact for complaints, including data protection. Each document describes the procedure this channel follows. |
If a contact reads No contact published yet., use the ordinary support channel instead.
What is published here¶
| Document | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Terms of Service | The contract between your organisation and Alonstech: what the plan you pay for includes, renewal, refunds, and how an account can close. |
| Privacy Policy | What GISweaver collects, why, and how a person's data is handled. |
| Vision, Mission & Governance | What GISweaver is for and how it is governed. |
Third-party data¶
Third-party data names the datasets the map draws that were published by somebody else, and the licence each is used under: the base map (OpenStreetMap and OpenMapTiles, with the Bharat contextual boundary from DataMeet) and the city-level location lookup used on the Security screen (DB-IP). Using this data does not send anything about you or your survey work to the outside publisher.
Background¶
One Terms for every organisation
Every organisation, in India or elsewhere, is bound by the same Terms of Service. Each person's acceptance is recorded against the document and the version they accepted.
Why the version matters
Each row's Version (date) and In force since date are the same values the document states at its head. A version you read here is the one you can point to later, for a client, an auditor or a regulator. This page does not summarise a document's contents. Read the document itself for anything you plan to rely on, including what beta means for your organisation.
