Choose between the map and the Console

GISweaver has two parts that share one sign-in. The Console manages projects, files, deliveries and people. The map shows a survey and measures it.

Move between them

  • To open a project's map, select Open map on the project's page, or select the map itself.
  • To go back to the Console, select Console at the top right of the map. On a phone, open the account menu and select Open the Console.
  • To go to the project's page, select the project's number and name at the top left of the map. The two-way arrow beside the name switches to another project.
  • From anywhere, the GISweaver mark at the top left opens Home.

Details

Where you start

GISweaver opens Home for everyone, whatever their role. Once you have opened a project, the Continue card at the top of Home takes you back to it, to its page with Open project or to its map with Open map. An address that names a project, or a link a colleague shared, opens that project's map directly.

The map and what it offers

The map is a docked grid: a tool strip along the top, a left dock holding one panel at a time, the Inspector on the right and a status bar. Its full layout is in the guides under Related guides.

Why two people see different options

What you can do on the same project depends on your role and scope, your organisation's plan, the data in the published release and the permissions a sender set when another organisation shared a release. Terrain profile and cut-and-fill need elevation data in the release. Read the reason shown beside an unavailable control before you upload another copy or change a plan.

Settings belongs to the organisation (details, drawing standards, audit, data downloads). Preferences belongs to you (profile, display units, account security).

If you belong to more than one organisation, see Switch to another organisation.

If something goes wrong

  • The map on the project's page says No map yet, or has no Open map. The project has nothing to draw yet, or its map could not be loaded; see Open a project on the map under Related guides.
  • Nobody has added you to a project in your organisation yet. Home says this when your role does not include projects of its own. Ask a project lead or an Admin to add you to a project; it then appears under My projects and Projects.
