Find an earlier release

Who can do this

Anyone who can open the project. Every plan.

Open in GISweaver

Find a release a project published earlier, see what it holds and download it.

  1. Open Projects and choose the project. Result: the project opens.
  2. Select the Releases tab. Result: every release is listed, the newest first.
  3. Find the release by its name and date, for example Release 2 · 20 Sept 2026. Result: you have the release's row.
  4. Read its Status, its map Layers (each by the name the map gives it, with its feature count) and its Files (select Show files when there are many). Result: you know what the release holds.
  5. To keep a copy, select Download all in the Downloads column. Result: GISweaver saves the release as one archive.

What happens next

The archive holds every file the release has and a list of checksums so you can check your copy. A file removed from storage since the release was published is no longer in the archive.

If the Downloads column reads Files in trash instead of Download all, the Owner has removed the release's files, and the row says Removed on with the date. The files can be restored for 30 days; see Delete and restore release files. Once they are erased, the column says the files are no longer available.

If something goes wrong

  • Too many downloads at once. Try again in a minute. Wait a minute and select Download all again.
  • No releases yet. Publishing freezes the draft as a numbered release that cannot change. Publish when the files are ready. Nothing has been published. See Publish a release.
  • The release is not marked Published, or you need to quote it in a help ticket. See Review and publishing reference.
