Export and sharing

Export is one thing: a PDF plan sheet

The Workspace has exactly one export, and it is a scaled plan sheet as a PDF. There is no GeoJSON, CSV, DXF, SHP or KML export.

You choose the sheet size, the orientation, the resolution and a standard scale ratio, and you can exclude individual candidates from the sheet. The sheet is 2D: a 3D view is not what gets exported. You preview it, then save it.

What carries over

The exported PDF carries the map, legal and third-party licence credits, so a sheet you hand to a client states its data sources.

Sharing is not export

Handing work to somebody else does not go through the export at all, and it is two separate features, both in the Console:

  • Shares — giving another organisation access to a release inside GISweaver, with per-tool grants.
  • Deliveries — handing a release over for a stated period, receipted when the files have been taken.

Neither is documented here yet. See the glossary for what each word means.

Screenshots of the export controls and an example sheet are not written yet.
